Construction & Field Operations

Location: Greater Rochester Area, NY

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Approx. 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Compensation: $20–$25/hour entry-level | $30+/hour experienced

About Us

Curran Development Group is proud to be partnering with a well-established, respected commercial construction company in the Rochester and Western New York region to identify motivated individuals for a Field Technician opportunity supporting construction and field operations projects.

This is a hands-on position ideal for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, learning practical skills, and being part of a team-oriented environment. Prior construction experience is helpful but not required. The company is willing to train candidates who demonstrate strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Projects may involve a mix of indoor and outdoor work and can include carpentry, framing, drywall, finish work, demolition, excavation support, material handling, and general construction activities depending on project needs.

Schedule & Location 

  • Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Overtime opportunities may be available based on project needs but are not required
  • Based out of Victor, NY
  • Most jobsites are located within approximately one hour of Victor

Responsibilities

  • Support daily field operations on active construction projects
  • Assist with carpentry, framing, drywall, finish work, and general labor tasks
  • Help maintain safe, clean, and organized jobsites
  • Load, unload, move, and organize materials and equipment
  • Safely operate basic hand and power tools
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, foremen, and field leadership
  • Adapt to changing project needs and work environments

Qualifications

  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Willingness to work in active indoor and outdoor environments
  • Comfortable performing physical work and lifting materials
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Construction experience helpful but not required
